Has there been any resolution on which FIX tag(s) to use for an order that breaches one of the broker’s Risk Management thresholds? I have seen two suggestions on how to implement a “pause”. The first is to not immediately Ack the order upon receipt. Perform the various risk checks and then Acknowledge the order if validated or secondly to immediately Acknowledge the order and then perform the risk checks.
