We want our order routing system to comunicate with FIX 4.2, but have no idea on what basis it works.
Is it text based or binary?
can anybody send us a sample code, so we can start understanding the manual.

please, find here the results of our FIX Engine tests. Benchmark conditions:
2 systems (AMD Duron600, RAM 256Mb, Windows NT Workstation 4) connected to one segment
of FastEthernet LAN. One system runs an application using .FIXantenna Engine as a connection acceptor, another one runs an application using .FIXantenna Engine as a connection initiator. An Initiator application sends order messages and an Acceptor application in the same time sends execution report messages via the FIX session between these two applications. Average number of messages each
application receives is about 200 per second.
This benchmark’s conditions simulate real trading scenario and not only massage sending to a simple application reading data from a TCP socket.
