Status Request on order in status pending replace

I would be grateful if someone could answer the following questions

Given the following scenario:

  1. Send New Order ClOrdID=A
  2. Execution Report received with ClOrdID=A, ExecType = New, OrdStatus = New
  3. Send Cancel/Replace Request ClOrdID=B, OrigClOrdID=A
  4. Execution report received with ClOrdID=B, OrigClOrdID=A, ExecType = Pending Replace, OrdStatus = Pending Replace.

Is it legal, at this time, to send an Order Status Request for ClOrdID=B?
If it is, should the values in the ER response be the new values or the old?
