Apologies for this being my fourth message today … don’t mean to flood you all with messages.
I am currently developing a tool for validating FIX messages against the 4.2 specification. This tool is initially intended for internal use at one of my client sites, but is being written to be generic in case it is later marketed commercially.
To allow me to do thorough testing I would like to gather test data from multiple systems. If people are willing to submit some message dumps for me to use (say up to 64k in size per submitter company) it would be much appreciated. I will do my best to report any problems that I identify back to the submitter, but if I get overloaded cannot promise to do so. All data received will be treated as confidential, although it would obviously be preferably if you didn’t have sensitive information in the messages.
Message dumps should ideally be binary dumps of the data stream, although hex dumps would be fine too. Please send to fixtestdata@yahoo.com
