To manage the full life cycle implementation process of Trade Order Management System from initiation to roll-out.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must possess knowledge and understanding of both the business and financial technical industry
  • Coordination of client connectivity and electronic trading platform implementations
  • Manage Client Sell-Side OMS (Order Management System) implementations
  • Maintain relationships with clients
  • Responsible for establishing connectivity to ECN’s and Market Data providers
  • Ensure that all contracts and agreements are in place
  • Additional duties as required (e.g., provide project support to Sales and Strategy/Business Development Departments and assist in the execution of all strategic company initiatives)
  • Responsible for coordination of various internal teams (Business, Operations, and Technology) to ensure successful implementation
  • Ensure project timeframes are met.
  • Provide regular status reports and issue escalation

MAIN WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • External customers both technical and business focused
  • Act as a liaison with Internal departments including Sales, Support, NetOps, Telco, and Technology teams
  • Vendors

KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

  • Experience implementing Sell-side OMS (Order Management Software). For Example:
  • Tradeware
  • GL Trade
  • fidessa
  • Brass
  • NYFIX
  • Experience with electronic trading platform. For Example:
  • Lava Trading Floor
  • fidessa NMS
  • UMA/U2
  • NASDAQ, NW2, SuperMontage
  • Understanding of financial concepts. Must possess working knowledge of ECN’s/ATS’s and associated connectivity issues.
  • Experience with integrating firms into OMS a strong plus
  • US Domestic Equities business knowledge (e.g., Buy-Side, Sell-Side, Listed, etc.)
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Verbal - communicates well with various business and technical departments. Capable of holding discussions with various levels in the organization and with clients.
  • Written- very strong documentation and presentation skills
  • Strong equities business acumen coupled with knowledge of technical concepts of electronic trading platform. (e.g., FIX, ECN’s, Teleco, etc.)
  • Strong documentation skills capable of documenting various processes
  • Back-office experience: Experience integrating clearing firms a plus
