TradingSessionID is a field added in FIX 4.2 to support order routing, quoting, and trade and market data reporting. For instance, orders can be routed to one or more Trading Sessions. Examples of Trading Session useage may be to facilitate extended hours trading, to differentiate between concurrent electronic and open-outcry trading, or to differentiate block and/or oddlot trading.

When this field was added, we intended to create a repository for Exchanges, ECN’s and ATS’s to register their TradingSessionID values on the FIX Protocol web site.

I have created a document containing TradingSessionID values I know about, and have posted it to the Archive of the ECNs, Exchanges working group on the FIX Protocol web site. Please feel free to examine this document and report to me additional TradingSessionID values that should be added. Please make sure that all the columns in the table are included in your E-mail.
