We are working on implementing workup protocol in trading fixed income instruments.

Can some one please help me in understanging how the workup protocol works?

And what are the messages that are being exchanged during workup phase?

FPL Global Fixed Income Committee (GFIC) discussed last year the workups workflows and documented them in: <“http://www.fixprotocol.org/documents/7095/Best Practices.Cash Bonds.Phase II.26-Oct-2012.pdf.zip”> volume 4 section 7.

Workup protocol deals with fixed income investments in shares and all. Starting with lower and making it reach higher is called workup. Exchange of messages involve the information on any above related matter or the fixed income instruments.

Last year as part of the Global Fixed Income Committee, a set of recommendations were produced for handling cash bond workups in FIX. See Volume 4, Section 7 of the link below:
