About the length of data in FIX4.2

Dear Sir:
There are many kind of data types in Fix4.2,
but I don’t know the length of these data type,
for exsomeple the field ‘Account’ is String data,
however,I have not any information about the length of the data type string ,according to fix
the data type and it’s length should be unique.
Pelease give me detail information about the data length earlier if possible.

The FIX Protocol specification does not restrict String data types to a specific length.
