Ack'ing a QuoteRequest message

Imported from previous forum

We would like to return an immediate affirmative acknowledgement to the ‘Initiator’ after the Initiator sends a QuoteRequest in order to indicate to the Initiator that the QuoteRequest has been received, validated, and accepted.

However, the 4.4 specs do not appear to define such a message. They do define an immediate negative acknowledgement message (QuoteRequestReject, vol. 3, p. 21; and vol. 7, p. 76), but not an immediate affirmative acknowledgment message.

Ideally, we are looking for the definition of, say, a QuoteRequestAcknowledge message. The dialog for the successful submittal of a QuoteRequest would then appear as follows:

Initiator -> QuoteRequest
Initiator <- “QuoteRequestAcknowledge” // immediate ack

Has the list encountered this requirement and found a message solution which fits well in the new 4.4 context of the ‘tradeable quote’ dialog?
