Hi,

According to the FIX 4.2 protocol, the quote cancel message is performed by the originator of the quotes. In this case, we translated this to mean that it is handled by the side that is delivering quotes to the customer.

Now, we noticed from some other specifications that this message is being used where a client delivers to us to indicate a quote cancel. That being said, what do we use to deliver an acknowledgement and response that the
quote is indeed cancelled? I checked the FIX 4.2 specs and it seems that you can use a Quote Acknowledgement, or possibly market data request message (V) using tag 263=2. I would like to know the consensus of what the general market is using.

Any help here is highly appreciated.
