NEW YORK, June 02, 2003 – Today Aegis Software, Inc., New York-based provider of trading software, announced the availability of Client Simulator 3.3, a test package that simulates incoming FIX order flow and is used to verify functionality and performance of order management systems and exchanges. Several banks and brokerage firms have taken global licenses to the product.
Release 3.3 adds support for features unique to European FIX implementations, as well as enhancements for Lists, Allocations, IOIs, futures trading, and encryption. Other testing capabilities include: spreadsheet-driven automated regression tests, import of production log files to recreate live trading scenarios, and load testing with performance measurement and statistics. Client Simulator uses a Java GUI for interactive testing, and a scripting interface for batch operation.
“As the industry becomes more sophisticated in their use of FIX, we are presented with new and exciting ways to improve our products," said Norm Friedman, Vice President, Aegis Software. "For example, we’re already working on support of FIX 4.4, something several of our customers are interested in for Fixed Income trading.”
Aegis will demonstrate Client Simulator June 17-19 at the SIA Technology Management Conference in New York City.
