Duties:
· Level 1 support of exchange and ECN connectivity for the Global Equities trading business
· Daily system checks
· Daily order routing issues (trade statuses, busted trades, etc…)
· Level 2 support of cross Platform exchange and ECN connectivity
· Gathering requirements for new connections and enhancements to existing connections
· Configuring new connections in in-house order routing systems and third party systems such and Fidessa FEC and Flex Trade
· Liaison to exchanges and ECNs to coordinate connectivity change management
· Generating trading activity reports (defining/building/integrating)
· System/activity monitoring tools (defining/building/integrating)
Education and Experience Required:
· Equity (OTC, Listed, Derivatives, Program) trading desk support is a must
· ECNs, exchanges, electronic access brokers (investigating breaks, monitoring lines) is a must
· Order routing/order management systems a must, such as Fidessa, Flex Trade or BRASS.
· Derivative portfolio/risk management systems (such as Imagine or Infinity) highly desirable
· Sybase/SQL is a must.
· Perl and/or VB scripting a must
· Solaris UNIX is a must; LINUX highly desirable
· Minimum BS/BA degree in Comp. Sci, Math, Engineering or Finance area
