The Specification Working Group and GSC and GTC leadership have decided to restructure the FIX specification documents. The plan is to divide the specification into fully machine readable content and to create a series of user guides that support the specification. The Repository Working Group has been reopened to help address some of the topics.

To facilitate this refactoring, the Repository Working Group needs to discuss the following requirements:

  1. Decide on the approach to include rich text markup in the FIX Repository.

  2. In order to support views into the specification by user area or asset class, some form of views or scenarios are required. A recommended approach needs to be fully vetted within the Repository Working Group.

  3. A structured English language approach has been developed to document conditional rules. This approach needs to be vetted within the Repository Working Group.
