The old website had a feature that allowed me to move a discussion from one forum to another. This was important for General Q/A that many peple use because they are somewhat lazy or did not see the appropriate forum. I had certain admin rights that allowed me to do that.
1. Is this feature available in general?
2. Can I obtain access to this feature without requiring full admin rights to the new website?
Yes Ive identified that as an issue too, as I think the existing thread in General Q&A might be better in Website Feedback- we are now notifying 2700+ people who follow General Q&A, which is probably a bit annoying for then..!
We dont have it, but its clearly needed..... we think we can do it with a script in interim on request (which I am confirming, but we should package a tool.... this might require site admin privileges though, so needs a bit of thought.
Analysis isnt simple re the non-admin issue, so will get back to you asap on that one- in meantime let me know any threads that are a priority.
