Summary:
Responsible for design, implementation, testing and deployment of messaging interfaces to external brokers, trading system, risk management systems and desktop applications. Must perform analysis of internal and external system API’s, design adaptor layers and implement integration code.
General requirements:
• 100% Hands-on technologist. Good track record of meeting deliverables in fast-moving trading desk environment.
• Fundamental knowledge of distributed computing and issues involved. Practical experience in developing: n-tier applications, message-driven components, event-driven system, enable a-synchronized process flow, multi-threading model.
• Working knowledge of data warehousing concept.
• Hand on experience performing integration with external services as well as legacy applications.
• Working knowledge of enterprise-level relational database design and performance tuning.
• Fundamental of web application design and technologies including SOAP/Web Services.
• Exposure to Capital Market and/or FX prime brokerage business processes a plus.
• Good communications skills, team player with “can-do” attitude.
Required java skillset:
• Experience working with Weblogic platform.
• EJB
• SOAP/Web Services
• XML, DOM, XSLT, Xerces/Xalan. XMLObject.
• JSP/Servlet. MVC2/struts.
• JMS, MQ or TIBCO
• Oracle, Sybase, or SQL Server, stored procedure, trigger, and view.
• Working knowledge of Swing.
• JDBC
• Practical experience using one of the major reporting packages such as Actuate or Crystal Report.
• LDAP
• Understanding of basic design patterns and OOP concepts as well its JAVA implementations.
• UNIX/Perl and basic UNIX shell.
• General understanding of the concepts of cryptology and application/web services security issues involved.
• Unit testing using JUnit.
