It would be nice to be able to add or delete subscribers from the admin -> other -> discussions administrative screen. Right now you can see the subscribers but you can’t add or remove them.
This would help when we want to use discussions for specific projects.
Also, it does not appear possible to keep a discussion group from becoming available on the www/fixprotocol.org/discuss/ page. Would be a benefit so that discussions could be restricted for internal use for specific projects.

I would like to suggest a concept of discussion forums moderation:-
- Each discussion forum has moderator(s). New member’s post(s) go thru if it does not contain list of spam words like sex, lotto, fuck, lottery, etc. and this list could grow based on new spam words discovered (Refer 3).
2)FIXProtocol.org web administrators and forum moderators can ban email ids later which post spam “disguised” as genuine email and escapes filter of (1).
3)Add a new button “Report Spam” to all posts when user is logged on.
For example - I would have clicked “Report Spam” button on the following posts

When “sufficient number” of “genuine users” report a post a spam, the post is “suppressed” from view and administrators and moderators would be informed to review the post and “Mark it NOT Spam” or “Delete Spam” - This safegaurd is required to prevent a “genuine” post from being deleted as spam.
4)When reporting a spam, user can be given JTextArea to put a comment as to why he/she thinks the message under reference is a Spam.
I am aware that all this may mean lot of website enhancements / coding, I am just putting ideas in the pipeline.

You can’t add a subscriber from the admin page, that’s true - I can look into changing that, presumably re-using the “paste in e-mail addresses” UI that we offer for adding users to a group. (We really need to hack up an AJAX select-a-user UI!)
But I believe that if you click on the number of users under “Subscribers” and then on a user’s name you’ll see that there’s an “Unsubscribe” button, so that functionality is there now.

Only boards that you are allowed to read should appear on the /discuss page - but remember, you’re in the Web-site Admins group, so you can see and read all the forums! Try logging out, and you’ll see only the publicly-readable forums; register and log in with a non-admin test account and you should still see only the forums available to registered users.
