Hi All,

Can someone help me how to simulate an exchange and broker/Dealer.
Is there any free tool available in the market.
Is Quickfix a tool used for the same? If not what is the help of Quickfix.

Any documentation provided by FIX on this regard.

To simulate an exchange you can try aegis exchange simulators. Please find out more from their website
http://www.aegisoft.com/products-testing-exsim.htm

They have a client version as well.

I’ve used them and they are one of the best in the market.

We are using Aegisoft client simulator, but look like this is a GUI tool only, is that a console version that I can scripting on it and run automated test base of this?

Could you tell us what’s the approximate cost figure one should keep in mind when thinking of procuring this simulator? I asked Ambar the same question earlier about the simulator from aegis. It may benefit several people on this forum.

Also, if you could tell us about the support it has for the simulation of algorithmic trading.

We have developed a basic exchange simulator ourselves, but we’re looking to be able to simulate more sophisticated scenarios.

You can try this tool: http://axonsoftware.biz/projects/fix_debugger.html
He support scripting on server site. It is also GUI so you should not expect extreamly high speed. But you can define your own scenarious.
