Volume 6 (data dictionary) of the FIX 5.0 contains a number of errors where the allowed values for tags are muddled up - ie the allowed values for a tag appear erroneously under a different tag.

Some errors that I have noticed appear below…

  • Tag 1081 is missing its allowed values. They appear erroneously under the description for tag 1087.

  • Tag 1092 is missing its allowed values.

  • Tag 1093 is missing its allowed values. They appear erroneously under the description for tag 1099. Also the description should say “lot type” intead of “lot size”.

  • Tag 1094 is missing its allowed values. Also its type should be char, not int. Its correct values appear erroneously under tag 1100.

  • Tag 1099 values are incorrect. They belong to tag 1093.

  • Tag 1100 values are incorrect. They belong to tag 1094. The correct values for this tag appear erroneously under tag 1106.

  • Tag 1101 is missing its allowed values. Its correct values appear erroneously under tag 1107.

  • Tag 1106 values are incorrect. They belong to tag 1100.

  • Tag 1109 is missing its allowed values. Its correct values appear erroneously under tag 1115.

  • Tag 1108 is missing its allowed values. Its correct values appear erroneously under tag 1114.

Thanks for the checkout and due dilligence. We realized that there was a bug in the document generation process and have corrected Volume 6. The Preview release has been reposted with a new Volume 6. It is currently posted as a .doc file but will be in pdf form by the time we post the final release.

Thanks for uploading the corrected spec Matt.

There a couple of minor typos mentioned in my email which probably still need to be corrected:

  • Tag 1093 - the description should say “lot type” intead of “lot size”.

  • Tag 1094 - type should probably be char, not int.
