FIX IMPLEMENTATION ANALYST

Instinet Group is currently looking for a FIX IMPLEMENTATION ANALYST in our New York, NY location.

Job Duties:

  1. Validate and check client’s FIX request with the Instinet Salesperson and the technical contact at the client
  2. Understand the different FIX Connectivity models and work with the client to configure their session accordingly
  3. Work with internal and external 3rd party OMS and FIX networks to setup client’s session
  4. Work with the Instinet desk and client’s to ensure the session is correctly setup via an end to end test
  5. Ability to troubleshoot FIX sessions to solve configuration problems
  6. Work within the team’s management and project processes to ensure tracking of a client’s FIX request

Job Requirements:

1)Good working knowledge of FIX and its usages
2)Previous experience implementing or supporting FIX connections for equity trading.
3)Previous experience in certifying client’s for FIX compliance.
4) Develop a broad knowledge of the services Instinet has to offer and how that relates to FIX.
5) Good working knowledge of the financial industry including front-office systems and FIX. Furthermore, 2 to 3 years experience in the financial services industry required with 1 to 2 years in an FIX implementation/ support role.
6) Basic Project Management skills including the ability to manage their workload, prioritizing and escalating where necessary. Also work within the team’s management and tracking processes contributing statuses where necessary.
7) Ability to work in a team environment with demanding clients.
8) Ability to work in a UNIX environment including reviewing logs and setting up clients.
