This person must have strong FIX protocol and a strong background in systems integration of Equity Trading applications and products. This position also requires a solid understanding of connectivity, networks, firewall and TCP/IP protocol. An additional requirement is that this person must have experience managing configuration and application changes in an electronic trading environment.

Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of this position include the testing and integration of new FIX Electronic Trading Order Management and Routing infrastructure. As a member of the Client Integration team, a candidate will be responsible for the development and integration of FIX Interfaces between the firm and the External clients. Daily responsibilities include managing the configuration and testing of proprietary (the firm’s) FIX Router applications that provide our clients with access to proprietary Front-End trading applications, strategy engines and direct exchanges destinations. This position involves working closely with Equity Business Unit clients, the Application Development groups and Third Party Vendors to establish system requirements, design specification and FIX message format to accommodate the individual trading and order handling requirements of the clients. The responsibilities of this position include the planning, execution and support of turnovers/upgrades to implement new infrastructure and upgrade existing systems in the production environment.

Skills Required A potential candidate should have extensive experience with FIX protocol and a strong background in systems integration of Equity Trading applications and products. Having Experience working with ECNs, and or Third Party OMS/Connectivity vendors are a major plus. This position also requires a solid understanding of connectivity, networks, firewall and tcp/IP protocol. An additional requirement is that the candidate must have experience managing configuration and application changes in an electronic trading environment. The team is responsible for managing a Global environment. A candidate must be able to demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to implement system changes in a global environment.
Skills Desired This position requires a strong background in Equity Trading Systems, FIX protocol, and the UNIX operating system. Experience with using Sybase tables is a plus. The candidate does not necessarily have to be an expert in C++, but should have a general knowledge of programming including debugging and testing new versions of production binaries. Are looking for a candidate with at least 3 years experience in the Financial Services Industry as well as a B.S. in computer science
or a similar degree. A candidate for this position must possess excellent communications skills both verbal and written.
