Hello -
Does anyone know if FIX has an Order state diagram? So basically, i’m looking for a lifecycle model showing all the possible state changes from an Originating order to an Allocation and then an Execution, along wilth all the possible deviations of Cancels, Rejects, Acks, etc.
Thank you
The FIX spec at
www.fixprotocol.org/specifications/
has “Order state Change matrices” in tabular form for each version in the spec docs. I do not think there is a diagramatic version.

The Global Exchanges and Markets Committee has a diagram in its current proposal (EEWG Phase 1 Gap Analysis, section 6.3.6) under public review posted on the GTC page. It tries to reflect state changes in an exchange or similar marketplace environment and is focussed on trading. Allocations have an impact on trades although they can also be defined at the time of order entry. The lifecycle of an order ends when it reaches a terminal state, i.e. filled, expired or cancelled.
Hope it can help.
