July 22, 2004 - FIX Protocol Limited (FPL) has announced that Eli Lederman of
Morgan Stanley has been elected to the Co-Chair position of the FPL Europe Regional Committee and will be working alongside Barry Marshall of Gartmore Investment Management. Eli succeeds Maria Domnick of Credit Suisse First Boston who has served in this post since September 2002.

Mr. Lederman is a Managing Director in Morgan Stanley’s Institutional Equity Division. Based in London, he is head of the Electronic Trading Services group, which provides institutional clients with technology products and services for risk measurement, portfolio analysis and trade order management and execution.

When asked about his new position, Mr. Lederman stated, “As a voluntary initiative, the success of FIX speaks to the determination of participants in the financial services industry to add efficiency and transparency to markets, to the end-benefit of investors. FIX is now highly evolved and widely used globally, but much remains to be done. With this in mind, I look forward to working with Barry Marshall as Europe Regional Co-Chair, and to working with the global FIX organization to help the protocol reach its critical potential.”
