Support Analyst for Client Connectivity/Electronic Trading Technology
Brand new opportunity due to business growth!
Looking for someone coming out of a FIX/Trading environment with Unix, light scripting, some SQL and any messaging considered a plus!
Duties:
Play a leading role in supporting trading, risk and middle office real time products as well as deploying client connectivity requests that facilitate Electronic and Program trading. This includes:
Monitoring real time processes. Recover when necessary.
Problem research and resolution. Be responsible for tracking bugs and stability issues that affect the production environment and drive changes to mitigate these
Document procedures, best practices and troubleshooting FAQs.
Provide documentation to be used by colleagues and traders.Provide direct communication to both internal and external clients when managing expectations for product delivery.
Provide direct communication with the users of this technology (traders and external clients) for problem resolution.
Provide direct communication to the developers, network and telecom team, and the exchange for problem resolution
Education and Experience Required:
BS in Engineering/Physical Sciences/Computer Science
Support Analyst Experience at a Wall Street firm or in a related field.
Detailed knowledge of order flow into and out of equity and equity derivatives systems.
Recent hands-on experience in support of a real-time trading environment.
Experience with Solaris/Linux operating systems.
Experience support applications that use high-performance messaging/middleware (TIBCO RV, Custom).
Knowledge of FIX protocol. CMS protocol is a plus for some positions
Good understanding of equities/electronic trading business.
Experience with Perl, K-Shell, PHP, and FIX protocol a plus.
Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
