During the process of trying to learn FIX, I’ve implemented the elements of an object oriented FIX engine in VB6.
My question is: rather than trying to re-invent the square wheel, is there an off the shelf ActiveX control that I can buy and then simply drag and drop onto a VB form in order to have a FIX engine? If not is there anything else I can use with VB6 or VB.NET? Please feel free to email me at efriis@sprintmail.com
Thanks in advance for any pointers!

Hello Eric,
The SpeedwellFIX Engine will satsify these requirements. Our Engine is a available as a
series of ActiveX DLL’s that are simple to integrate into a Visual Basic. For more information please contact me at Stephen.Doherty@SpeedwellFIX.com or Sales@SpeedwellFIX.com.

Eric,
I do not know if this will meet your requirement however, we have an ActiveX/COM control available for our C++ engine on NT4/2000.
If required I will mail the code to you for evaluation.

FYI: Javelin supports an ActiveX interface through our product suite. For more information, feel free to contact us at sales@javtech.com or visit our website, www.javtech.com.
Hope this helps.
