InfoReach is announcing the release of EL-TRADER FIX Engine version 5.4.
New 5.4 primarily provides functionality enhancements to the previous version of the FIX Engine. NOTE: All 5.4 APIs are 100% backward compatible.

5.4 Release notes:

  • Added: FIX engine configuration can be reloaded dynamically without FIX engine restart.

  • Added: file-based persistence of FIX messages. Provides a high-performance alternative to JDBC based persistence.

  • Added: configurable sizes of internal FIX message queues.

  • Added: "Connected", "Disconnected" and "Connections" summary columns to the Engine View. The "Connected" column displays the total number of currently active FIX sessions on a given FIX engine. The "Disconnected" column displays the total number of currently inactive FIX sessions on a given FIX engine. The "Connections" column displays the total number of FIX sessions configured on a given FIX engine.

  • Added: configurable socket factories and parameters. SO linger and timeout, send and receive buffer sizes, connection backlog, keep alive, TCP No Delay, SSL keystore, cipher suits, etc.

  • Added: option to disable validation of FIX messages.

  • Added: support of templates for FIX engine configuration. Now you can create and reuse the templates for various components - sessions, engines, processes, sockets, etc.

  • Added: FIX server IP filter. IP filter allows you to specify valid IP addresses of Counterpart FIX engines from which you accept connections.

  • Changed: custom log levels. Now you can specify which FIX message type to persist into the database.

  • Changed: many FIX engine and session configuration parameters are moved to "Advanced" configuration dialogs.

  • Improved: FIX engine start-up time with large number of FIX sessions (500+)
