The global technical committee, hereafter GTC, is considering extending FIX.4.4 to include functionality to provide a) the ability for networks to report the status of counterpartys and b) the ability to log individual users into remote systems etc.
To promote discussion on two proposals being considered for inclusion in FIX.4.4 the following document has been prepared.

The GTC would like feedback as soon as possible as we are hoping to reflect the proposed changes in the next draft of FIX.4.4 which is published tomorrow.
