Hi Guys,
I have inherited a system that sends an ExecutionReport with OrdStatus set to Rejected in response to a CancelRequest that can not be fulfilled. How bad is this and should I push for a change to OrderCancelReject? I can’t say why the decision was made originally.
Robert
Robert,
I would say it is as bad as your effort to program against this deviation in addition to supporting the standard way of expecting an OrderCancelReject with CxlRejResponseTo = 1 = Order cancel request ![]()
If it is the only system you need to interact with it might not be worth the effort of asking for a change. I would still raise the issue to create awareness about the deviation.

Hanno.

Hi Robert,
If you were our counterparty, we would be asking you to change that before we do business with you. Our system would not recognize that as a valid response to a cancel request.
