Outsourcing Program Office Manager (Downtown NY)
Position Description:
This newly formed position will be responsible for helping establish the outsourcing program office. The candidate will work closely with business managers and project leads from across CTS to define processes for managing outsourced projects including vendor relationship management, on-boarding & “off-boarding” consultants, interfacing with other responsible groups in CT. The candidate will be knowledgeable in outsourcing and PMO best practices - and will be responsible for championing and advocating adoption of process across CTS, and helping expand the use of outsourcing.
Responsibilities:
· Work with senior team members from across CTS and ISG to help define process for managing outsourced project teams. • Ensure proper on-boarding and roll-off procedures are followed for project consultants
· Build relationships with vendor coordinators and ensure proper vendor management practices followed
· Control project consultant rosters
· Serves as an advocate for outsourcing and best practices
Skills Required:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to clearly and thoroughly document process steps, write support documentation for management, project leads and support personnel.
· Works independently, but as a core member of the business management team
· Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality and consistency; Applies feedback to improve performance and rate of adoption; works closely with work-stream and governance teams to deliver on time.
· Minimum 5 years business management and PMO experience in a technology organization
· Experience in implementing lifecycle methodologies - CMM/CMMi, MSF etc.
· 4-year degree required
Skills Desired:
· Must be able to effectively interact with and provide thought leadership across the development department as well as with other CTS and business area partners
