to which he replied has my name as K. Mahesh. I think John would have just clicked Reply to this message and added his comments on the top. I do not know if this bug is reproduceable, but wanted to report it so you can trace thru any logs to see the cause and possibly fix it.
And, if I click the reply button on your post, your quoted message in my reply has “R” too! This must be a bug in the code that formats the original message for quoting. I’ve added it to our bug-tracker as WEB-346 and we’ll look at it soon. Thanks -

This appears to have been fixed by the migration to the Unicode-capable infrastructure.
