Internet Security service provider requires a high level Pre-Sales Technical Consultant to provide in-depth technical knowledge of clients services with strong commercial, market and customer awareness to help sell clients security services. Skills: Microsoft1: Windows Server 200x, XP, Office 200x, Exchange 200x, Licensing; Microsoft2: SQL, content management Server, Sharepoint, Office System; Cisco: Routers, PIX and Switches. Other networking: eg 3COM, Lucent and comparisons with Cisco Compaq/HP: desktops, laptops, racks, proliant, storage solutions (NAS, SAN). Internet: provision, different circuit types, speeds, leased line, XDSL, SMTP, Mobile: PocketPC aware, ActiveSync, OTA/AUTD, new Exchange 2003 support for mobile devices;Awareness of wireless technologies: 802.11b, GPRS, GSM, 3G and how they fit together; Security: hardening, Procheckup, Content Filtering, Antivirus - NAI, Symantec, Antigen (Groupware), Checkpoint FW-1. Management: controlled IT environments, scripted builds, SNMP, NetIQ, Microsoft MOM. Ideally candidate will be educated to Degree level and be MCSE 2000 qualified. Client is looking for a Pre Sales person who is predominantly Microsoft MS based with ideally Cisco experience. Knowledge of Fix Protocol advantageous, not essential.
