The Global Technical Committee has reviewed and preliminarily approved the CME Collateral Management Enhancements. This FIX Protocol Gap Analysis, submitted by the CME Group, seeks to enhance the protocol’s ability to support multi-party collateral pledge maintenance. The proposal includes the addition of the ability to indicate a collateral assignment as a pledge, the addition of a security type that identifies a collateral basket and the ability to identify the type of a collateral amount.
The document now enters a public comment period in which public review and feedback is encouraged. Once the public comment period closes, the Global Technical Governance Board will meet to review public comments before final approval.
