The Global Technical Committee has reviewed and preliminarily approved the Equity Post-Trade Enhancement Proposal. The proposal seeks to enhance the ability of the FIX Protocol to support the best practices as determined by the Global Post-trade Working Group with the addition of a trade confirmation reference identifier in the Confirmation(35=AK) and ConfirmationAck(35=AU) messages, and the addition of the AffirmStatus(940) field to the Confirmation(35=AK) message.
The document now enters a public comment period in which public review and feedback is encouraged. Once the public comment period closes, the Global Technical Governance Board will meet to review public comments before final approval.
