The Global Technical Committee has reviewed and preliminarily approved the Equities Post-Trade Enhancements proposal. Several years ago the post-trade guidelines were developed to facilitate industry-wide implementation of post-trade processing via FIX between buy-side and sell-side firms. Some additional enhancements have been proposed to add granularity to the clearing workflow and communicate status and additional tags for the MiscFees component to allow unambiguous representation of individual market-specific fees.
The document now enters a public comment period in which public review and feedback is encouraged. Once the public comment period closes, the Global Technical Governance Board will meet to review public comments before final approval.
