FPL Americas Quarterly Meeting – FIXatdl(SM): Delivering Benefit to the Algorithmic Trading Community
Kindly Hosted by: Bank of America Merrill Lynch

In March 2010, FPL announced the launch of the new industry standards-based messaging language for algorithmic trading strategies, the FIX algorithmic trading definition language (FIXatdl) version 1.1.

FIXatdl 1.1 allows algorithmic trading strategy providers to release their specifications in the industry standard, computer readable XML format as opposed to the traditional method of supplying detailed documentation, considerable coding and testing. By using FIXatdl 1.1, firms will be able to significantly decrease the time-to-market for new and updated trading strategies, generating significant cost savings and improved efficiencies for all participants in the ever-expanding world of algorithmic trading.

On April 13th, FPL will introduce this new standard to the Americas region during the FPL Americas Quarterly Meeting. Industry participants are invited to attend this session to gain a stronger understanding of the many advantages FIXatdl could present to their business and benefit from the knowledge and experience of adopters now actively using this new standard.

Speakers will include:
• Jim Arlet, Vice President-Equities Technology, Barclays Capital
• John Goeller, FPL Americas Regional Committee Co-Chair, Director, AMRS Execution Services, Bank of America Merrill Lynch
• Rick Labs, FPL Algorithmic Trading Working Group Co-Chair, CPA, CFA, Managing Member, CL&B Capital Management, LLC
