tag 167

Dear all,

learned from searching threads here that SecurityType (167) refers to ISITC codes (https://isitc.org/market-practices/reference-data-and-standards-market-practice) .
Fiximate offers a huge range of keys but lacks ETFs. This would not be a major issue by itself but one of my requirements is to compute fees based on asset class (e.g. 167 or CFI 461). Stupid but true ETFs are computed different from Equities etc. And I see ETNs and ETCs but the super group ETPs (Products) also not avaiable.

Question now is: What value shalt I use in tag 167 for ETFs when communicate asset class used in my fee computing centre

Thanks

Uli

Had a similar use case like this recently. After much deliberation in the end we decided to just use a custom value of 167=ETF. Maybe it’s something that could be added in the future as a standard value?

Agree with @ruafix. It is an omission and the GTC will eventually close this gap. The spec does say

Additional values may be used by mutual agreement of the counterparties.

and “ETF” is certainly the best acronym for exchange traded funds.

Hi Aidan,

dear Irish pal: Who’s that coming-is that you?(Rory Galagher)

Yes indeed, that’s how we solved it.
At least I wanted the case to be noticed to the assembly right here on the olymp …
And Hanno kindly explained and agreed. Thanks Hanno.
