Global investment bank seeks a developer. Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Design, develop, implement and support applications for the Tokyo Front Office Businesses and their support groups including Credit, Market Risk, Product Control and Operations under the direction of the Development Manager
- Interact with the end users for requirements gathering, demonstrations and support issues in a helpful and professional manner
- Follow defined change control procedures to ensure an orderly roll-out of systems and to maintain the stability of existing systems
- Follow the bank’s defined development methodologies when possible and to make efforts to re-use and share developments with other development groups both regionally and globally
- Use their knowledge of the systems to help determine the impact of changes when called upon by the manager to do so
- Mentor less experienced developers in the group
- Others as required
Education:
- Engineering and/or science degree or equivalent industrial experience.
Experience & skills required:
- 2~3 yr+ experience working in technology for financial institution.
- Understanding of fixed income products such as bonds, interest rates derivatives and options for valuation, risk and supporting system
- Strong mathematical background.
- Strong experience with Excel/VBA
- Fluency in English
Experience & skills preferred:
- Front office trading system related support in the similar environment.
- The following are the technologies utilized by the team in addition to Excel/VBA. Although knowledge of any of these is not a pre-requisite, exposure to any is an advantage - SQL, Oracle, VB, Perl, C++ on Unix or NT, COM, DCOM, ASP, HTML, XML
