Global investment bank seeks a team leader for front office application development for Fixed Income trading platform. This person will be responsible for development of global electronic trading platform working with both local and global development team.
The person is managing the development group of the above function.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Extend the system to handle uninterrupted global product trading for product groups to be specified, and on markets to be specified
  • Participate in system and user acceptance testing of the entire system, prior to releases
  • Provide second line support for the production system
  • Interact with the traders and the other end users for requirements gathering, demonstrations and support issues in a helpful and professional manner
  • Follow defined change control procedures to ensure an orderly roll-out of systems and to maintain the stability of existing systems
  • Follow the bank’s defined development methodologies when possible and to make efforts to re-use and share developments with other development groups both regionally and globally
  • Use their knowledge of the systems to help determine the impact of changes when called upon by the manager to do so
  • Others as required

Education:

  • Engineering and/or science degree or equivalent industrial experience. Computer science major preferred.

Experience & skills required:

  • Development in Windows environment and Visual C++
  • Development in distributed environment for design and implementation
  • People and team management experience.
  • Very strong C++ (5 years+)
  • Good understanding of Fixed Income business.
  • Fluency in English

Experience & skills preferred:

  • Development and application support for front office trading group.
  • Working experience with global development team.
  • Programming in Java, C#, MFC, SQL Server
  • Knowledge of electronic trading interfaces with various ECNs
  • Business level Japanese language for reading specs, regulation, market information and news would be a big advantage
