Contract Position in CT. 6 months + or full time:
Developer, maintaining and enhancing high throughput/capacity trade routing system.
Candidate will be responsible for routing systems that direct message flow from internal and external OMSs (including NyFix and BRASS) to downstream internal risk, allocation and regulatory systems. Communication with external systems is via FIX (4.0), and internally MQ and RV.
Working experience of Equity Markets, Order Management Systems and FIX 4.0 is required. Candidate will have experience of real-time systems, and preferably have experience of message routing systems. Experience with high performance & high throughput systems is desirable.
Technologies involved are Java (including JMS, EJB) SQL (Oracle and Sybase), IBM MQ, Tibco Rendez-vous,
Role involves
· Technical responsibility for software message routing systems. Candidate will assume responsibility for technical design and implementation of ongoing development and maintenance of these systems.
· Liaising with members of development team, QA, Release Management and support teams to deliver high quality software deliveries.
· Aiding in technical support of for both QA and production systems.
Candidate will be expected to take a proactive role in the project, be capable of working independently, be outgoing and have strong interpersonal skills. Candidate must be able to perform under pressure, and deliver to deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
