US-CT-Stamford: Client Connectivity Systems Analyst

Major financial institution is seeking a Systems Analyst to work within the IT team, providing communications, organization, and documentation for the applications development team supporting systems using the FIX protocol. Current systems have been focused on single order, DMA (direct market access) and program trading of equities. Plans call for the teams to look into automating the flow of FX, Fixed Income and other products and to work on the post-trade process flow.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Create project specifications
  • Manage business testing for key projects
  • Build relationships and communicate effectively with IT, logistic units and business people
  • Contribute to recruitment, coaching or induction of new team members
  • Ensure that the analysis, development, testing and implementation are top-quality
  • Control risks and costs within own area (e.g. by using time and resources cost-effectively).
  • Background with development processes, including iterative development methodologies
  • Verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with specific tools, including Unix, issue tracking systems and relational databases, preferably Oracle Previous experience in equity trading, program trading, DMA and electronic trading environments is most desirable
