VP Level role!
NYC based Top Tier Investment Bank is seeking
someone to Lead, Coordinate others.
They have an offshore integration resource in India and NY – will give direction to others.
They are growing the Business – they need someone to bring clients “live” – use the client OMS to send orders to the client - will coordinate system requests – Need a strong business background and strong OMS Vendors (eg, NYFIX, Bloomberg, MacGregor, Charles River, EZE Castle). There is some proprietary order management.
There are many business lines, eg, Block/Program Trading and Stat Arbitrage.
Nice to have Series 7 – licensed person to handle regulatory issues.
Strong FIX experience – technically: know how exchanges work (eg: NYSE, Instinet etc – direct market access order and program trading system). NOT a developer – but well versed in the FIX protocol (eg, interpret error message or system moves it to improper place). Knowledge of how to work in the Unix, Linux environment and client configuration Mgnt.
Strong Comm skills. Verbal and Written skills – multitask
need to talk to clients, articulate problems and resolution.
The Business and IT are closely aligned
Will interact with high level clients and Sr. Management
high pressure – hours typically 8 am – 6 pm.
There is Account Management and Sales Traders to work with Clients. They have a list of integration requests – eg, open new FIX session or increase from Block to Program Trading…. Will coordinate with the clients – support build interface, will work with Beta Testing (“go live” testing –typically early in the morning).
Will work closely with Bloomberg – eg, configure the terminal for what the client sees on the screen.
will work with the Vendors directly when the Firm has a new Stratgey (eg, how affected on the OMS).
