I am completely new for FIX. right now i am working Desktop support and want to change my field.want to know from where to start to make my career in FIX protocol ?
should i need to learn something else before going for FIX, if yes what is it ?
how to learn FIX, means self or is there any training classess going on ?
have lots of other question regarding FIX but for now if anybody can suggest me anything.

This question is a bit broad it really depends on what exactly you want to do with FIX? Remember FIX is only a protocol and specification. Are you interested in the writing FIX based applications or doing something along the lines of integration and support for FIX based solutions? I presume you want the later coming from a support role? You first need to determine what exactly you want to do with FIX.

yes as i do not have any programming background i would prefer to go to support FIX protocol.
Do you know any company in toronto, canada which train people and place them ?

Jim i inquired before this conference and they said its full (no more admission).
any way basically i want to start carrer in FIX support but i do not have any source where i can start.
