Winterflood Securities Limited selects CameronFIX Engine to enhance its electronic trading offering.

LONDON, UK, Monday November 29, 2004: — Winterflood, a subsidiary of the Close Brothers Group and the largest UK market maker in terms of stock coverage, has selected the CameronFIX Engine to increase its FIX connectivity options. WINNER — Winterflood’s electronic dealing service provides the client base with immediacy of execution with dealing at London Stock Exchange (LSE) touch prices or better. Following completion of this project, Winterflood will also be able to accept larger orders electronically that will be routed to their highly experienced sales trading teams.

The CameronFIX Engine, the global financial community’s FIX engine of choice developed and supported by leading FIX engine solutions provider Cameron Systems, enhances Winterflood’s implementation of the FIX protocol to further develop its electronic offering. CameronFIX Excel is being utilised by Winterflood as a trading blotter connected to the CameronFIX Universal Server, with plans to also utilise the CameronFIX NetTrader. Winterflood has selected the CameronFIX Routing Hub for routing of trade messages to its multiple trading desks.

The CameronFIX Engine provides Winterflood’s clients with support for all versions of the FIX protocol 4.0 to 4.4, and message types including QuoteRequest, Quote, Order, Execution and SecurityDefinitionRequest.

Announced during SIBOS Atlanta, the CameronFIX NetTrader is a recent addition to the CameronFIX product suite developed specifically for both Buy-side and Sell-sides to provide easy-to-use, browser-based order entry solutions for enabling the sending and receiving of message trades via the FIX protocol.

“Winterflood selected CameronFIX to achieve fast implementation of a FIX blotter that provides increased efficiencies for the processing of its FIX-based transactions,” said Philip Yarrow, Director of Winterflood Securities. “CameronFIX comes highly recommended and well supported. Its addition will provide a powerful and reliable FIX application for Winterflood. Cameron Systems has demonstrated their valuable knowledge of the evolving FIX protocol and their experience with providing custom FIX solutions for the global financial community.”

Cameron Systems Director of Sales, Glenn Cruickshank, has been in contact with Winterflood Securities for the past two years. “During the past two years Winterflood has witnessed first-hand the growth and demands on FIX at both regional and global levels, resulting in their selection of the CameronFIX engine to complement their current in-house FIX solution.
