RCM SELECTS CAMERONFIX FOR TRADING CONNECTIVITY SOLUTIONS

NEW YORK, NY, February 17, 2004 — Global FIX engine vendor Cameron Systems today announced the San Francisco–based fund manager RCM, formerly Dresdner RCM, has selected CameronFIX for the FIX messaging solution with its Trading desk.

CameronFIX went live at RCM with the QUARTZ® equities trading and portfolio management system in December 2003. Connection of CameronFIX to U.S. Brokers will be completed April 2004.

Daniel Osborne, Vice President of Information Technology for RCM, says when researching FIX engines, CameronFIX fulfilled their specific needs. "Our requirements were that it worked out of the box with minimal configuration, was stable and rich in functionality for integration, monitoring and scheduling. On the integration side, we required a product that could easily interface with specific middleware [for example Mercator] as we were using the CameronFIX engine for two major projects: integration of RCM’s Trading desk with those of its affiliates located in Frankfurt and Singapore and using FIX messaging for the more generic integration with Brokers. Cameron met these needs and already had relationships in place with other third party middleware companies which we found appealing."

"We performed research with Sell Side firms as to engines they use and could recommend, and Cameron always came highly recommended for functionality, stability, product roadmap and customer service," added Daniel Osborne. "During the evaluation phase we were also impressed with the Cameron technical and business staff as they were always easily accessible to discuss our unique project requirements and technical issues. This gave us confidence in the quality of ongoing support as a client."

"We are pleased to be playing such a fundamental role with CameronFIX in RCM’s global Trading system," said Martin Koopman, Commercial Director, Cameron Systems. "We were able to deliver to their specific requirements and in the end the good word-of-mouth from existing CameronFIX customers gave RCM the confidence they needed."

As well as selecting CameronFIX Version 6.1, RCM also purchased Cameron Systems Monitoring Version 3.0 and Scheduler Options.
