Application Support Specialist
Salary up to about 125K + bonus
Responsibilities:
This focus of this Application Support Specialist role will be to assist Program Trading with all new Trading and FIX connectivity issues. This person will support all the application technology required for trading equities: NYFIX, Lava, Autex, FIX Gateway (Raptor, ttConnect, Proprietary, etc.), FIX Electronic Orders, Reuters+, Bloomberg.
This person will also work with Operations on identifying and resolving trade breaks; work with the traders on identifying and resolving trading issues, which include block trade entry, DOT order routing, FIX electronic orders, position keeping, commission calculation and P&L
Also will liaise with infrastructure group to define and implement trading technology infrastructure required initiatives
Job Requirements:
REQUIRED Experience and Skills:
5+ years work experience in Financial industry
FIX messaging protocol experience
Knowledge of electronic order routing
Knowledge of at least one scripting or programmatic language
DESIRED Experience and Skills:
Buy Side experience a very big plus.
Algorithmic or Program Trading experience a big plus
Knowledge of Equity Brokerage Trading/Operations
Knowledge of Exchanges, ECN’s, ATS’s, etc.
BRASS knowledge (alternatively Royal Blue FidessaNet knowledge)
NYFIX knowledge
FlexTrade
Lava knowledge
Reuters+
Reuters TRIAD
Autex
