I am new to FIX and keep coming across the terms BuySide institutions and SellSide brokers?
Could sombody spare some time and explain these terms.

BuySide
People who invest money or buy shares on behalf investors
Eg Fund Managers etc
SellSide
People whos business is buying and selling stocks.
Eg Investment Banks, StockBrokers

The Buy Side consists of institutional investors, money managers, pension funds, mutual funds etc. who buy services from brokers.
The sell side consists of brokers who sell their services to the Buy Side

The Buy Side consists of institutional investors, money managers, pension funds, mutual funds etc. who buy services from brokers.
