This is a technical and client facing position, requiring a mix of skills. As a member of the Client Connectivity team, the candidate will be responsible for the development and integration of FIX interfaces to external clients and vendors. Daily responsibilities include the configuration and conformance testing of new client connections, as well as the analysis needed to ensure that client-specific needs are addressed. You will also spend a great deal of time speaking to external clients and working with both Sales Traders and the connectivity sales team.
Technically you must have a good general understanding of Unix. Scripting skills (Unix or Perl). A thorough understanding of the FIX protocol. An appreciation of general networking issues (e.g. TCP/IP, firewalls, routers etc.) Good communication skills (since the role will be client facing) and an ability to work both within a team and independently.
Additionally any experience / knowledge of Cash, portfolio or FF&O business flows and order Management systems (e.g. fidessa, EOM/Grapes/Stealth, EOS/ORC) would be very helpful
