JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client is in the process of building a new trading system for all asset classes. We’re looking for a business analyst preferably with fixed income trading systems experience to assist in full project lifecycle of the bond trading component of the system with a specific focus on requirements, design, and testing.
Daily Activities
Gather and document business requirements from traders on client’s fixed income trading desk
Work with Trading Systems business analysts and developers on requirements management and design
Communicate status and risks to Trading Systems management team
Assist testing team with development of integration and regression test plans
Coordinate user acceptance testing and training with traders
JOB REQUIREMENTS
This position requires several years experience with investment management systems, preferably trading systems. The position also requires very strong written and verbal communication and project management skills would be considered a plus.

Demonstrated experience in business analysis, requirements specification, and user acceptance testing of systems in the Trading / Investment industry 5 years
SQL (Oracle) 5 years
Strong Knowledge of Fixed Income securities and the Trading process 5 years
Requisite Pro / RUP 2 years
Knowledge of the FIX protocol 2 years
Knowledge of TradeWeb and/or MarketAxess 2 years
Education/Experience
Experience in a business analysis role in a financial services environment a must
Prefer experience in a trading environment
Prefer experience working with fixed income traders, analysts, or portfolio managers
Prefer experience with an asset manager or investment advisor
Knowledge of Rational Unified Process (RUP) a plus
Knowledge of fixed income derivatives a plus
CFA / MBA or progress toward either a plus
