Alliance Capital Management, a leading Investment Management firm is seeking a Fixed Income Business Analyst with substantial experience in analyzing and documenting user requirements and configuring, testing, deploying and supporting management and trading applications. This individual will:
work with our investment management team in defining and documenting system requirements,
manage relationships with both third party vendors and internal developers, coordinating the development and testing of application software,
actively participate in data analysis, problem resolution, implementation support and application testing,
assist in developing and maintaining project plans and in following a system development methodology, and
plan and coordinate application integration tasks and the rollout of new application releases globally.
This position requires a B.S. or higher in Computer Science/Finance (or related fields) in addition to four or more year’s experience as a business analyst for investment applications, preferably related to fixed income from a buy side perspective. Candidates should have prior experience configuring, testing, and supporting trading and portfolio management systems. Knowledge of FIX and electronic trading systems is a plus.
Strong analytical and communication skills are required, including eliciting and documenting user requirements, vendor relationship management, application testing, configuration planning, and implementing product rollout. Candidates must also be conversant enough in SQL to assist in application data analysis.
