Boston Ma Urgent Needs longterm in Boston
Need a Java/SQL Developer, well-versed in the FIX protocol, to work on a team developing a new brokerage trading application for an investment firm. Person should have some database experience, Oracle preferred. Any .Net experience would be a plus. This is a Solaris environment.
Java J2SE 1.3 or higher. Actively developing, experienced with multi-threaded highly scalable server-side applications. Must have been actively developing in Java for the last two years.
Oracle 8i or higher: Actively using, understand working with and developing packages. Need very good SQL experience.
FIX Engines: Direct experience in developing for any of the major vendors (Javelin - preferable, Cameron, TransactTools)
FIX: Working knowledge of FIX 4.0 and higher. This person does not need to be a FIX business expert, but well versed in the session level protocol and a working knowledge of the business messages and their general usage. Obviously the more the better, but this can be easily learned.
Solaris/UNIX: Should have had experience developing for, or at least has written applications for deployment to this platform.
