Thanks for the spot.
The search result on this occasion is massive, because the audit trail of notifications associated with the target posts is being captured by the search index. You don t see the rest because they are only accessible to admins, but thats why there appears to be so many duplicate pages with only the releated post exposed.
This is clearly a bug, and to get it fixed I need to discuss with Rasel the best approach to excluding notification audit trail items from the seatch index, which might be either excluding audit trail items from the search index altogether or archiving them into a separate data table and creating a separate search process. Admins still need the ability to search them, but they certainly shouldnt impact performance in the way they do or mess up the display as currently.

Whilst on the General Q/A forum page I entered a search for "public comment period" in an attempt to see all entries for extension proposals that have been published for review. The result (after several minutes of processing) were 8404 pages whereas the last X (don't know how many) only had a single entry for "CFTC Part 43-45 GA Addendum v0.2". The first X pages (don't know how many) all show a long list of (unsorted) entries and all end with that same CFTC-entry. Due to the lack of sorting I can only assume that it is always the same list of entries I am seeing, i.e. the first page already has all results and the rest of the pages are obsolete.
